Programming - Delphi
My programming career began with Clipper. Well, actually it began with dBase III+, from where I quickly moved on to Clipper. About three years later Clipper was on the ropes thanks to a seriously bungled attempt to convert it to Windows (yes, it was a DOS program), and I started looking for alternatives.
After looking at -- and quickly recoiling from -- VB3, I tried out Delphi 1, which had recently been released. I never looked back, as the saying goes.
I've been programming professionally in Delphi ever since, and for a long time I used Delphi for my personal projects as well. I stopped using Delphi for this several years ago, though, so there is unlikely to be anything more about Delphi on this website unless I decided to publish some of my older projects here.
